Description

Crop circles are mysterious patterns in fields of crops that are often intricate and complex:

Origin: The term "crop circle" was coined in the 1980s by Colin Andrews, an electrical engineer who studied crop circles, UFOs, and human consciousness.

Location: Crop circles are most commonly found in southern England, but have appeared around the world. In the UK, they are often found near roads, areas with dense populations, and cultural heritage sites like Stonehenge and Avebury.

Appearance: Crop circles are usually made in fields of wheat, corn, rice, or other tall vegetation that can be flattened. They are often made overnight.

Explanations: Some believe crop circles are the work of aliens, while others think they are hoaxes created by humans. However, there is no scientific evidence to support these explanations. In 1991, two hoaxers, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley, claimed to have created over 200 crop circles in England.
